Looks like Silver told Maria all about his world and the situation with the two halves of Solaris. Unfortunately he doesn't say anything interesting beyond how destructive they are. He doesn't mention having actually fought Mephiles, so I don't think he knows of anything that'd be important to us.

According to Silver, Mephiles can teleport, time travel (though he can't seem to do that here), and use a spear-like attack which he used to kill Sonic in Silver's world.
